Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models, advanced analytics solutions and visualization tools for the end customer or internal teams. Some initial initiatives include: scoring models for sales and customer service, recommendation systems or automating repeatable tasks done by humans to free them up to work on the tasks that require their human intelligence.
• Develop complex analysis for business stakeholders. Understand the problem and the key metrics.
• Propose and measure A/B Test analysis related to product features. Understand the value proposition of each new feature.
• Find data opportunities to improve the different stages of the customer journey. Understand business objectives and goals working together with other business departments.
• Work closely with data engineering and infrastructure to build out end to end solutions.
• Own the feedback loop of testing and improving the created models.

Essential Job Functions

• Mentor other junior engineers.
• Master business flows and Company operations.
• Act as a technical representative with external stakeholders on behalf of the team.
• Eventually, play a scrum master role.
• Address performance issues.
• Recommend and implement new technologies, processes, and systems to increase efficiencies, productivity, customer engagement, and company revenue.
• Work with the leadership team to define the platform roadmap, identify technologies to utilize and integrate, and ultimately deliver on the technical solution
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on experience in software development.
• Specify, evaluate and approve design and implementation
• Contribute to the security of our systems.
• Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging developments and trends in technology that could impact or influence current and future product development.
• Create and deliver detailed technical documentation and presentations.
• Produce clean and efficient code based on specifications.
• Contribute to recruitment activities.

Qualifications

• Communications skills for translating technical or statistical analysis results into business recommendations.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Extensive knowledge of visualization frameworks Shiny, Plotly/Dash.
• Extensive experience with clean code principles.
• Extensive experience with Python and/or R.
• Extensive knowledge of SQL.
• Knowledge of best practices around service-oriented architectures or microservices.
• Mastery of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience building and measuring experiments like A/B Tests.
• Experience with data modeling and analysis.
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Team player.
• Usually BSc/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Engineering or a related field.
